Field Operations Support Assistant – Bilingual French/English

We're looking for someone based in the Brest area to support an international team carrying out field operations during a two-week mission.

Duration: 2 weeks, Monday to Friday
Area: Brest and surrounding region
Languages: Fluent/native French and very good English required
Driving licence and personal vehicle required

Responsibilities
The person will work alongside our field team and provide practical day-to-day support, including:

Acting as the team's local point of contact with landowners and others encountered in the field.
Explaining the team's presence and activity simply and professionally, and answering routine questions.
Escalating any questions or issues requiring a decision or more detailed response to the team.
Occasionally making local trips to transport small equipment or collect supplies.
Buying or organising lunches and other practical needs for the team.
Helping with day-to-day organisation of operations.
Carrying out simple support tasks, such as plugging batteries into chargers or preparing equipment for the next day.

No technical drone skills are required, and the person will not pilot a drone.

Profile sought
We're mainly looking for someone who is:

Reliable, punctual and self-sufficient.
Very comfortable dealing with the public.
Calm and diplomatic when facing questions or objections.
Practical, resourceful and able to solve small everyday problems.
Fully fluent in French and able to work comfortably in English with an international team.
Available for the full two weeks.

Experience in hospitality, events, tourism, logistics, production support or customer service would be particularly suitable.

Indicative pay: €16–18 gross/hour, plus reimbursement of work-related travel and a meal allowance.
