I’m launching a beginner-friendly back-end development series and need someone to craft every lesson and learning asset from scratch. The audience has never written server-side code before, so explanations must stay plain-English while still being technically accurate.
Scope of the first module
Learners should finish with a working knowledge of all three foundational areas—building web servers and RESTful APIs, persisting data with both relational and NoSQL databases, and adding user login plus account security. Each topic should move from concept, to guided demo, to a small hands-on challenge.
Deliverables
• A syllabus that sequences the three topics clearly (about 8-10 lessons each).
• Detailed lesson scripts/outlines ready for recording or classroom use, including diagrams and talking points.
• Well-commented sample code (Python with Flask or FastAPI, or Node.js if you prefer).
• Matching slide decks in Google Slides or PowerPoint.
• Short quizzes and practical coding exercises with solutions.
• One capstone mini-project that weaves servers, databases, and authentication together.
Acceptance criteria
• Language remains accessible to complete beginners.
• Every code sample runs locally on Windows, macOS, and Linux with the setup steps you provide.
• Diagrams are clear and editable (Draw.io, Lucidchart, or similar).
If you’ve produced entry-level programming content before, share a short excerpt or link so I can judge tone and pacing. I give fast feedback and look forward to collaborating with you on material that makes back-end development approachable from day one.
