I’d like a warm, soothing bedtime story written for children aged 5–7 that leaves them thinking about the importance of being kind to others. The tone should be gentle enough to help little ones wind down, yet lively enough to keep their imaginations engaged. A single, memorable act of kindness needs to sit at the heart of the plot and resolve in a way that feels natural, not preachy.
Story length should land around 900–1,200 words so it can be read aloud in roughly ten minutes. I’ll need:
• A complete manuscript in a ready-to-layout format (Word or Google Doc).
• Simple illustration notes beside each scene break so an artist can visualise the setting, characters and key actions.
• A short back-of-book blurb (60–80 words) and a one-sentence logline for marketing copy.
Please keep vocabulary age-appropriate, sprinkle in dialogue that sounds authentic to young ears, and finish with a calm, reassuring closing paragraph that signals bedtime. If you’ve written children’s fiction before, even better—share a brief sample so I can hear your narrative voice.
