Diggs Play Cafe & Bookstore is based in Sonoma County, California. Our mission is to provide a safe place for children to play, learn, and grow while their parents enjoy a treat for themselves too!
Our grand opening is slated for fall 2026! Diggs Play Cafe & Bookstore is searching for a compassionate and dedicated publicist to promote our grand opening to the Bay Area. We’re looking for someone who has media connections to parenting magazines, child advocacy centers, nonprofit organizations, and other relevant media outlets. We’d like to work with someone with flexible pricing as we balance final opening costs. We appreciate publicists who are able to place our mission at the forefront of outreach. Our website is coming soon!
What we’re looking for
Someone with experience placing mission at the forefront of the tone.
Experience with AP style or newsroom-style writing
Background or Bachelors in journalism, communications, public relations, and/or media writing preferred.
Familiarity with the publishing industry (particularly children’s books), nonprofits, family facing businesses, and e-commerce are a plus.
Open to working collaboratively with the Diggs Play Café team! We are happy to guide you through any brand specific questions.
