I am ready to shut down my AWS instance and would like the entire Java web application now running under Tomcat to live on my new Hostinger VPS instead. The task covers three concrete moves: every application file, the MySQL database, and all related assets.
You will need to install and configure Tomcat (or an equivalent Java servlet container) on the Hostinger VPS, import the existing database, copy the uploaded media, update any file-path or JDBC references, SSL configurations, and make sure the application boots cleanly on its new home. Once the site is live, I also want a short hand-off note that explains the key configuration files, start/stop commands, and any crontab or systemd entries you created so I can maintain the server myself.
Acceptance criteria:
• The public site loads over HTTPS on the Hostinger VPS.
• All pages, login, file uploads/downloads, and background tasks work exactly as on AWS.
• Database tables and data are intact and writable.
• A concise deployment/rollback document is provided.
If you’ve done Java + Tomcat moves before—especially from AWS EC2 to a VPS—this should be familiar. Let me know your estimated timeline and any questions about the current stack.
