I am looking for an experienced AWS Cloud / DevOps / Data Centre engineer to design, implement, test, and document a complete cloud data-centre environment for a Bahrain-based company with two branches in Manama and Riffa.
The solution must be secure, scalable, highly available, and professionally designed. The implementation must be genuine and fully demonstrable, with working configurations, testing results, source files, architecture diagrams, and screenshots from the actual environment.
Required AWS implementation:
Separate AWS VPC environments for Manama and Riffa
Subnets distributed across appropriate Availability Zones
Professional IP addressing and naming conventions
EC2 web and application servers
Amazon RDS MySQL
RDS accessible only by authorized application servers
S3 backup storage
Elastic Load Balancer (ELB)
AWS CloudWatch monitoring and alarms
Internet connectivity and appropriate security controls
Secure connectivity between the two branches
Remote-user connectivity
Web, file, database, DNS and required infrastructure services
Ansible automation is a major requirement:
Automated server deployment and configuration
Remote application configuration
Minimum 3 application configuration examples
Nginx installation and configuration
Mail-service installation and configuration
Automated server updates/upgrades
Working Ansible playbooks, inventory and configuration files
Monitoring application:
Develop a working GUI-style monitoring tool that:
Allows users to enter server IP addresses
Performs PING/availability tests
Displays the status of each server
Clearly identifies unavailable servers
Sends automated email alerts when servers are unavailable
Saves monitoring results to an archive file
Includes clear user instructions
Technical analysis and documentation:
Provide professional documentation covering:
Overall architecture and design decisions
Network topology and IP addressing
Security architecture
AWS implementation
Testing and troubleshooting
CloudWatch monitoring
Ansible automation
AWS cost analysis
AWS Lambda vs Amazon Lightsail
SNMP and at least two alternative monitoring/automation protocols
Comparison of at least three cloud providers
Cloud vs physical data-centre cost considerations
Recommendations and limitations
The supplied technical requirements and existing physical data-centre equipment/pricing information will be provided to the selected freelancer.
Important: I am looking for someone who can actually implement and test the AWS environment, not someone who only provides theoretical documentation. All diagrams, configurations, IP addresses, server names, screenshots, automation files, and documentation must be consistent with the actual implementation.
Required expertise:
