I have a growing set of Excel workbooks that must be transferred into a MySQL database on a repeating schedule. The workflow I need is straightforward: read each new or updated workbook, validate the data, then load it into the correct tables without duplicates or broken references.

Because these files arrive on a timetable, the import script or utility should run automatically— for example via cron, Windows Task Scheduler, or any scheduling feature you prefer—so there is no manual trigger required once everything is in place. Robust error logging is important; if a row fails validation, I want a clear report so it can be corrected before the next run.

Deliverables
• A script, small application, or stored procedure that connects to MySQL, parses the Excel files, and inserts or updates records as needed.
• Configuration instructions so I can adjust file locations, table names, and schedule intervals without touching the code itself.
• A brief README outlining prerequisites (e.g., Python + pandas, PHP + PhpSpreadsheet, or another stack you recommend) and step-by-step deployment.
• Confirmation that the process handles multiple sheets and large datasets efficiently.

Once the solution is in production I should be able to drop a new Excel file in the designated folder and trust that the data will appear in MySQL on the next scheduled run with minimal intervention.
