I have an AT32L021C8T7-based board on my desk and AT32 IDE installed on my computer, but the programming and debugging link is still not talking to each other. What I need is a clean, repeatable setup that lets me connect an ST-Link to the board, upload firmware through AT32 IDE, then hit a breakpoint, pause execution, and inspect variables and registers in real time.

You will walk me through every step needed in AT32 IDE and, if required, the ST-Link Utility or OpenOCD settings—driver installation, project configuration, SWD pin assignments, and any clock or reset options that the toolchain sometimes hides. I want to finish with a workspace that builds without warnings, flashes the code in one click, and reliably enters the debugger on demand.

Deliverables
• A concise written guide (screenshots or short video welcome) showing the exact IDE and ST-Link settings used
• Any loader scripts, cfg files, or IDE workspace files modified or created during the process
• One live session (Zoom, Teams, or similar) to prove the connection works by uploading a test blink and hitting a breakpoint inside main()

I will supply the board schematic, pinout, and my current IDE version before we begin. Once your instructions let me program and pause code successfully, the job is done.
