I’m putting the finishing touches on an original character for an upcoming comic and constant stream of commissioned pieces, and I need a polished reference sheet that any artist can pick up and keep the design perfectly on-model. I’ll pass along the backstory, personality notes, and a few rough sketches to guide you; what I’m missing is a clean, production-ready sheet that showcases every visual detail and—most importantly—the character’s abilities.
Here’s what I expect the final document to include:
• Full-body, front and back turnarounds in a crisp anime style
• Accurate height indicator and clearly labeled colour swatches (hex or RGB)
• Call-outs for key accessories and costume layers
• Seven distinct facial expressions that reflect the character’s range while highlighting their powers in subtle ways
• A concise abilities panel or inset that explains how those powers manifest visually—so other artists can draw them consistently
• High-resolution, print-friendly PDF plus layered PSD or Clip Studio file for future edits
Keep the layout clear, with logical sections and plenty of negative space so nothing feels cluttered. If you prefer Procreate, Clip Studio, or Photoshop, let me know; I’m flexible as long as the source file remains fully editable.
When you deliver, I’ll cross-check colours, proportions, and expression variety against my notes, then sign off once everything lines up. If a small tweak is needed to align an accessory or power effect, one revision pass will cover it.
If that all sounds straightforward, tell me how you like to structure your workflow and roughly how long you’d need once the sketches land in your inbox. I’m excited to see my character finally documented in a way that keeps every future comic page consistent!
