# ZQN Focus — Working Prototype Challenge
### Build the Prototype. Get Considered for a Paid Project & CTO Role.
**Company:** ZQNFOX BE PRIVATE LIMITED
**Product:** ZQN Focus
**Project Type:** Android Application, AWS Backend & Product Development
**Opportunity:** Prototype Challenge → Paid Development Project → Potential CTO Appointment
## About the Company
ZQNFOX BE PRIVATE LIMITED is an early-stage technology company building **ZQN Focus**, a student productivity and digital-distraction management solution designed to help students improve concentration and develop better study habits.
We are looking for a capable and committed developer who can turn our product concept into a functional working prototype and potentially join us for the next stage of development.
## The Challenge
Your task is to build and demonstrate a working prototype of ZQN Focus that proves the feasibility of the core product concept.
The initial prototype should include the following features:
1. **Focus Dashboard:** A student dashboard displaying focus sessions and productivity information.
2. **Focus Timer:** A functional timer for scheduled study sessions.
3. **Study Planner:** Basic daily schedules and task management.
4. **Android App Restrictions:** A working demonstration of app restrictions using appropriate Android APIs and permissions.
5. **Backend & Database:** Basic APIs and data storage for user and focus-session information.
6. **AWS Integration:** Cloud backend using suitable AWS services, subject to credit eligibility.
7. **Admin Dashboard:** A basic interface for viewing and managing prototype data.
The final MVP scope and acceptance criteria will be agreed upon before development starts. The challenge does not require a complete commercial-grade product or advanced, tamper-resistant MDM system.
## What Happens If You Successfully Build the Prototype?
**A developer who delivers a working prototype that meets the agreed acceptance criteria will be considered for the following opportunities:**
### 1. Paid Development Project
ZQNFOX BE PRIVATE LIMITED intends to offer the selected developer an opportunity to work on the next phase of ZQN Focus, including additional features, Android functionality, backend development, testing and product improvements.
The scope, payment, timeline and deliverables will be defined in a separate written contract. The paid engagement is subject to funding availability and mutually agreed terms.
### 2. Potential CTO Position
If the developer demonstrates strong technical skills, product understanding, leadership ability and long-term commitment, the company may offer a **Chief Technology Officer (CTO)** or Founding Technology Lead position.
The CTO role would involve technical architecture, product development, security, engineering decisions and future technical team leadership.
The position will be formalized separately, with clearly defined responsibilities and compensation terms.
### 3. Potential Equity Participation
For a suitable long-term technical leader, the company may also consider equity participation, subject to contribution, responsibilities, mutual agreement and applicable legal requirements.
Any equity arrangement will be separately negotiated and documented. Equity is not automatic and is not guaranteed simply for completing the prototype.
## Current Stage and Challenge Terms
ZQN Focus is currently in the early development stage. The company has DPIIT recognition and AWS credits through the startup ecosystem, but does not currently have a dedicated cash budget for this initial prototype challenge.
Candidates must understand that the initial prototype challenge is currently unpaid. Participation must be voluntary, with the scope, time commitment, intellectual-property ownership, confidentiality and handover terms agreed upon in writing before work begins.
The company will evaluate submissions against the agreed technical requirements. Only a prototype meeting the acceptance criteria will qualify for consideration for the next phase.
A paid project or CTO appointment will be finalized only through a separate written agreement.
## Required Skills
- Android development using Kotlin.
- Backend development and API integration.
- AWS cloud services and database design.
- Familiarity with Android permissions, Device Owner or MDM capabilities.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a practical approach to product development.
## How to Apply
Please share:
- Your CV, portfolio or GitHub profile.
- Relevant Android, AWS or backend projects.
- Your proposed technical architecture.
- An estimated development timeline.
- Your approach to the prototype requirements.
## The Opportunity
This challenge is intended for a developer who wants to demonstrate technical capability, contribute to an early-stage product and potentially take on a larger role in building ZQN Focus.
**Build the working prototype. Demonstrate your capabilities. Qualify for consideration for the next development phase and a potential CTO role with ZQNFOX BE PRIVATE LIMITED.**
