I’m developing a three-minute Chinese New Year music video tentatively titled 《GD9 旺到九!》 (alt. 《今年一起旺 · GD9 Lah!》) and I need a full storyboard that captures the joyful, cinematic and youthful vibe of a Malaysian/Singaporean CNY celebration.
Here’s the creative compass you’ll be working with:
• Tone & Emotion: pure joy that pulls everyone back home, no matter where they’ve been.
• Look & Feel: modern festive colours, dynamic camera moves and a touch of film-style lighting.
• Cultural Flavour: Mandarin lyrics peppered with a little Manglish/Singlish for authenticity.
• Key Moments to show:
– A bustling family reunion dinner (multi-generational energy).
– An electrifying lion-dance sequence.
– Traditional games or street-side activities with friends, neighbours and extended family.
• Central cast: families, friends and neighbours interacting as one lively community.
• Duration: 2 min 40 sec – 3 min flat.
What I’ll hand over on day one: a rough mood board plus the draft song track.
What I need back: a polished, time-coded storyboard (visual frames + concise shot notes) that maps every beat of the song to camera angles, transitions and on-screen action, so my production crew can lift it straight into pre-production. Please include quick colour references and any motion or VFX cues where they heighten the festive mood.
Acceptance is simple: the board must hit all three key moments above, keep the overall arc joyful, and run within the target length when I overlay it against the track. Two adjustment rounds should cover any fine-tuning.
If you’re ready to help GD9 bring reunion, luck and lasting “九” energy to screens this CNY, let’s talk!
