Shopify Developer Needed – Build Interactive AI Dog Product Quiz (Vision + Recommendations)
Description:
I’m looking for an experienced freelancer to build a fully interactive AI-powered product quiz for my Shopify pet store.
What the quiz needs to do:
- Start by collecting: dog’s name, age, breed, and the main issue they’re having
- AI then asks smart follow-up questions based on the answers
- Optional photo upload (e.g. skin, coat, mobility) that the AI can analyse
- Recommend the most suitable products from my existing 8 SKUs only
- Clearly explain which ingredients help and why they are relevant to that specific dog
- Smooth “Add to Cart” integration on the recommendation page
Required skills:
- Strong Shopify experience (theme customisation, Storefront API / Ajax Cart, product metafields)
- Frontend development (React preferred, or clean vanilla JS + modern CSS)
- Backend / API development (Next.js, Node, or similar)
- AI / LLM integration experience (OpenAI GPT-4o, Claude, or equivalent) including:
- Prompt engineering
- Structured outputs / tool calling
- Vision models for photo analysis
- Handling file uploads (photos)
- Building clean, mobile-friendly conversational or multi-step UIs
Nice to have:
- Previous experience with AI product recommenders or quiz tools
- Familiarity with pet/health product claims compliance
- Ability to set up a simple product knowledge base (JSON or database)
Project scope:
- Full quiz flow (conversation + photo + recommendations)
- Integration with my existing 8 products
- Clean, on-brand frontend that can be embedded on my Shopify store
- Basic testing and hand-over documentation
Timeline:
7–days (depending on your availability and how polished you want the final version). I’m happy to discuss a realistic schedule.
