commissioning a run of 90 pairs of football shorts that quietly collect on-field data and turn it into clear, post-game insights for each player. The sole focus is performance tracking, specifically movement patterns and positioning; metrics such as sprint speed or heart-rate can wait for a later iteration.
Here’s what I need from you:
• Hardware & garment integration – lightweight IMUs/GPS or comparable motion-capture sensors sewn into the waistband or side panels without affecting comfort or washability.
• Firmware & data capture – reliable logging of X-Y positioning and orientation throughout a 90-minute match, time-stamped for sync.
• Cloud or local pipeline – automated off-load after the session (BLE or Wi-Fi is fine) into a database you set up for me.
• Analytics layer – transforms raw coordinates into heat maps, distance covered, zone occupancy, and other positioning visuals, delivered as a concise post-game report.
• Companion viewer – simple mobile or web dashboard so coaches can pull up each player’s heat map and movement summary right after the match.
• Production readiness – patterns, tech pack, and assembly instructions so a factory can reproduce all 90 units consistently. Provide one fully working sample for approval, then supervise the remaining batch (89) through production testing.
Acceptance criteria: a coach receives the shorts, runs a match, uploads data in one step, and views a heat-map report within ten minutes—no real-time read-out required.
If you have relevant experience in wearable electronics, embedded firmware, and sports analytics, let’s talk timelines and milestones so we can get these onto the pitch this season.
