I am putting together a short-term capacity-building programme on AI Governance for high-level policymakers in Tanzania and need two to three external trainers to complement our core team.
Scope
The assignment will run from late August through October and covers curriculum refinement, delivery of three on-site workshops in Dar es Salaam, and virtual follow-up clinics for participants. Content focuses on the policy implications of artificial intelligence, responsible data use, and gender-transformative approaches to digitalisation.
Who succeeds here
You hold at least a master’s degree in public policy, political sciences, or a closely related field and have no less than seven years of combined public- and private-sector experience designing and running adult-learning programmes. A solid five-year track record of peer-exchange or capacity-building work around digitalisation for—or with—policymakers is essential. Because the sessions will alternate between English and Swahili, strong professional fluency in both languages is non-negotiable. Prior leadership of project teams for a minimum of four years and at least three years’ hands-on experience working inside Tanzania round out the core requirements.
Key deliverables
• Refined three-day workshop curriculum aligned with government priorities
• Slide decks, case studies, and facilitator guides in English and Swahili
• Delivery of three in-person workshops plus two virtual clinics (approx. 40 participants each)
• Post-training evaluation report highlighting learning outcomes and recommendations
Acceptance criteria
All materials must be bilingual, participatory, and incorporate gender-transformative methods. Workshop feedback scores should average 4/5 or higher.
If your profile matches the above and you can commit to the August–October window, please outline your relevant projects, links to sample training material, and earliest availability.
