## Custom Label Pricing Formula / Calculator Development

We are looking for a freelancer with strong **mathematical, pricing-model, and Excel/Google Sheets skills** to develop a pricing formula for our custom label business.

We sell custom printed labels in many different sizes and quantities. We need a formula that automatically calculates the selling price based primarily on:

* **Label width:** 0.5" to 24"
* **Label height:** 0.5" to 12"
* **Quantity ordered**
* **Quantity-based pricing tiers**
* **Competitor pricing**

Our current quantity ranges are:

* 1–100 labels
* 101–500 labels
* 501–1,000 labels
* 1,001–5,000 labels
* 5,001–10,000 labels
* 10,001+ labels

### Project Goal

We do **not** simply want someone to create a basic `Width × Height × Quantity` calculation.

We need someone who can develop a logical pricing formula where the price changes appropriately based on both the **physical dimensions of the label and order quantity**.

For example, the formula should produce sensible pricing differences between:

* 1" × 1" — 500 labels
* 2" × 3" — 500 labels
* 4" × 6" — 500 labels
* 2" × 3" — 5,000 labels
* 2" × 3" — 50,000 labels

The price per label should decrease as quantities increase, while label dimensions should appropriately affect the selling price.

### Competitive Pricing Requirement

An important part of this project is **competitive price benchmarking**.

We want our pricing model to generate selling prices that are generally **lower than comparable pricing from our major competitors**, including:

* Wizard Labels — [www.wizardlabels.com](http://www.wizardlabels.com)
* Consolidated Label — [www.consolidatedlabel.com](http://www.consolidatedlabel.com)

The freelancer should analyze comparable pricing available from these competitors and use multiple combinations of label dimensions and quantities to benchmark the proposed pricing model.

We do **not** want competitor prices simply copied into a lookup table. The goal is to develop our own mathematical pricing model that produces consistent pricing across our entire range of label sizes and quantities while maintaining our desired competitive position.

The model should also allow us to adjust our competitive pricing target later—for example, allowing us to set our target at a certain percentage below comparable competitor pricing without rebuilding the entire formula.

### Deliverables

The freelancer should:

1. Research and benchmark pricing from Wizard Labels and Consolidated Label across multiple comparable label sizes and quantities.
2. Develop the mathematical pricing formula.
3. Create an Excel or Google Sheets calculator where we enter:

* Width
* Height
* Quantity
4. Have the calculator automatically return:

* Total order price
* Price per label
5. Make all important pricing variables/rates adjustable so we can fine-tune our pricing later.
6. Include an adjustable competitive-pricing factor or target.
7. Test the formula across very small, medium, and large labels and across all quantity ranges.
8. Compare the resulting prices against competitor pricing at multiple test points.
9. Clearly explain the final formula so we can eventually incorporate it into our website.

### Ideal Freelancer

We are looking for someone experienced with:

* Pricing models and pricing algorithms
* Mathematical modeling
* Competitive pricing analysis
* Advanced Excel or Google Sheets formulas
* Data analysis
* E-commerce pricing
* Custom manufacturing or printing pricing systems

Experience specifically with **custom labels, commercial printing, packaging, or print estimating software would be a major advantage.**

When applying, please briefly explain any similar pricing calculators, pricing algorithms, or competitive pricing models you have developed.

We are looking for someone who can **design the pricing logic and mathematical model**, not simply enter a formula that we provide.
