# Experienced Credit Repair Specialist – Advanced & Accelerated Dispute Methods
## Summary
We are looking for an **experienced Credit Repair Specialist** who understands both traditional and advanced credit repair strategies.
We specifically want someone experienced with **faster, results-focused dispute methods**, including CFPB complaints when appropriate, direct-to-furnisher disputes, credit bureau disputes, verification challenges, identity-theft procedures when legitimately applicable, and strategic escalation of unresolved disputes.
This is **not an entry-level position**. We are looking for someone who can review a client's complete credit profile, identify the appropriate dispute strategy, and manage cases from initial analysis through resolution.
## Responsibilities
- Review Experian, Equifax, and TransUnion credit reports.
- Identify inaccurate, incomplete, duplicate, obsolete, or potentially unverifiable information.
- Develop an individualized dispute strategy for each client.
- Prepare and submit disputes with Experian, Equifax, and TransUnion.
- Prepare **CFPB complaints and escalations when appropriate**.
- Prepare direct disputes to creditors, collectors, and data furnishers.
- Handle debt-validation and verification-related correspondence when applicable.
- Understand how to respond to verified accounts and previous dispute results.
- Review bureau responses and determine the appropriate next dispute or escalation.
- Identify situations requiring additional documentation from the client.
- Understand legitimate identity-theft blocking procedures and documentation requirements.
- Track dispute deadlines, responses, deletions, corrections, and updates.
- Maintain detailed notes for every client and dispute round.
- Provide regular case updates to our internal team.
- Manage multiple client files simultaneously while maintaining accuracy.
## Advanced / Faster Credit Repair Experience
We are particularly interested in applicants who have hands-on experience with:
- CFPB complaint and escalation procedures
- Direct-to-furnisher disputes
- CRA online and mailed disputes
- FCRA-based dispute strategies
- FDCPA-related debt validation where applicable
- Method of Verification requests
- Reinvestigation procedures
- Identity-theft blocking procedures for legitimate identity-theft cases
- Mixed-file and inaccurate personal-information issues
- Duplicate account/reporting issues
- Collection and charge-off reporting disputes
- Late-payment reporting disputes
- Repossession reporting disputes
- Unauthorized hard-inquiry disputes
- Bankruptcy/public-record reporting issues
- Re-disputing previously verified information when there is a legitimate new basis or supporting evidence
- Escalating unresolved reporting errors through the appropriate channel
We want someone who understands that **every client's situation is different** and can determine which strategy is appropriate rather than sending the same generic dispute to every bureau or CFPB.
## Preferred Software Experience
Experience with any of the following is a plus:
- Credit Repair Cloud
- DisputeFox
- Client Dispute Manager
- GoHighLevel
- IdentityIQ
- SmartCredit
- MyScoreIQ
- CFPB Consumer Complaint Portal
- Experian, Equifax, and TransUnion dispute systems
## Requirements
- Proven professional experience in credit repair.
- Strong understanding of U.S. consumer credit reporting.
- Strong working knowledge of the **FCRA and FDCPA** as they relate to credit reporting and disputes.
- Experience analyzing three-bureau credit reports.
- Experience preparing individualized dispute letters and complaints.
- Experience handling CFPB complaints.
- Ability to determine when a CFPB complaint, bureau dispute, direct furnisher dispute, or another legitimate escalation method is appropriate.
- Excellent written English and attention to detail.
- Strong organizational and case-management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple client files independently.
- Ability to document every action taken on a client's account.
- Commitment to using accurate client information and supporting documentation.
## Important
We are **not looking for someone who simply generates template dispute letters**.
We want an experienced specialist who understands how to analyze credit reports, investigate reporting issues, select the appropriate dispute method, interpret responses, and determine the next course of action.
All disputes must be based on the client's actual credit report, circumstances, and documentation. Applicants should **not use false identity-theft claims, fabricated documents, or knowingly false statements** to attempt to remove accurate information.
## How to Apply
Please submit your resume and briefly answer the following:
**1. How many years have you worked professionally in credit repair?**
**2. Which credit repair software have you used?**
**3. Explain your experience submitting CFPB complaints.**
**4. What faster or advanced dispute strategies have you successfully used?**
**5. How do you decide between a CRA dispute, direct furnisher dispute, CFPB complaint, or another escalation method?**
**6. What do you do when an account comes back verified after the first dispute?**
**7. Have you handled legitimate identity-theft cases? If yes, explain your process.**
**8. Approximately how many active client files can you manage at one time?**
**9. What is your desired hourly rate or monthly salary?**
## Paid Skills Test
Final candidates may be provided with a **redacted/sample three-bureau credit report**.
You will be asked to identify:
1. The items you would challenge.
2. The reason each item may be disputed.
3. The dispute method you would use.
4. Which items, if any, should be escalated.
5. The order in which you would perform the disputes.
6. What supporting documentation you would request from the client.
We are looking for someone who can explain **why** they selected each strategy—not simply generate dispute letters.
