Job summary:
As an Accountant at IBS, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining financial integrity, contributing to strategic financial decisions, and ensuring accurate and compliant financial reporting. Your responsibilities will encompass a diverse range of tasks, from managing accounts payable and receivable to reconciling financial statements and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Handling accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, ensuring accuracy and timely execution.
Performing bank reconciliations, identifying discrepancies, and resolving financial issues.
Processing payroll accurately and on time, adhering to regulatory requirements.
Preparing and analysing financial statements, highlighting key insights and trends.
Collaborating with internal teams to ensure accurate and complete financial data.
Utilizing your expertise in Xero accounting software to streamline financial processes.
Assisting in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and financial projections.
Providing insightful financial analysis and recommendations for strategic planning.
Contributing to process improvements and system enhancements.
Assisting in the preparation of BAS returns and ensuring adherence to tax regulations.
Supporting the Group Accountant and senior leadership with ad hoc financial projects.
Requirements
Minimum of 3 years' experience in accounting or a related field.
Proficiency in using Xero accounting software is an advantage.
Strong understanding of accounting principles, regulations, and financial reporting.
Detail-oriented with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
Previous experience with invoice management and accounts payable/receivable.
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
Proven track record of maintaining financial accuracy and integrity.
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
Other requirements:
Must have a stable primary internet connection and a backup connection
Able to work in case of power outages continuously (has backup power source/ample power bank)
