Responsibilities:
Within a Group of five entities, the Accountant will be responsible for the accounting activities of four entities, including:
Accounts Payable: processing and recording AP invoices for the Group entities, from Yooz into NetSuite.
Intercompany: preparing and recording intercompany invoices.
Banking:
Recording bank transactions from Agicap into NetSuite and making manual entries when required.
Preparing payments for the four entities of the Group, under the supervision of the Finance Director.
Managing monthly bank reconciliations and monitoring the cash position on a weekly basis, or as frequently as required.
Acting as the primary point of contact with banks for day-to-day matters.
Payroll: recording payroll entries for the different entities on a monthly basis.
Taxes: recording tax entries prepared by the external accountant and preparing tax payments when they are not automated.
Participating in the year-end audit process and ensuring compliance with other statutory requirements.
Continuously working to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of finance processes across the business, including the optimization of finance-related IT tools.
Supporting the Business and Commercial Analyst teams with financial data and reconciliations, as required.
Actively participating in the management of relationships with external stakeholders on finance-related matters, including but not limited to outsourced finance providers, auditors, banks, and tax authorities.
Supporting the CEO, COO, and Finance Director with ad hoc tasks and projects, as required.
Skills & Competencies
Strong organisational skills, curiosity, and excellent interpersonal skills.
Ability to work autonomously, with a high level of rigour and attention to detail.
Discretion and ability to maintain the confidentiality of financial and business information.
