ALTEN Mexico as a subsidiary of the ALTEN Group. Currently working with international clients, and we are looking for a Plastics Engineer who will contribute to the development of an Iron Air Battery, a large-scale energy storage solution, as a plastic component and tooling cost-optimization specialist.

Key Responsibilities
Review custom plastic components and identify lower-cost materials, geometry, tooling, and manufacturing methods.
Develop rotomolded or thermoformed scrubber-vessel concepts with integrated features.
Drive supplier DFM reviews and incorporate feasible recommendations into CAD and drawings.
Evaluate tooling simplification, part consolidation, assembly reduction, quality risk, and validation needs.
Support nonconformance analysis for injection-molded components.
Requirements
Must‑Have Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Materials Engineering, or related field.
5+ years of plastics product development, process engineering, tooling, or supplier engineering experience.
Experience with injection molding plus at least one of rotomolding or thermoforming preferred.
Experience with polymer material selection, tooling, and supplier DFM.
Experience in part consolidation, wall-thickness control, draft, ribs, bosses, undercuts, shrinkage, warpage, and tolerance design
Working knowledge of plastic part design, tooling economics, DFM, GD&T, and supplier qualification.
English level B2–C1.
