Password Protection Page

I have just started a domain at www.webworkslabs.com which is hosted on a godaddy.com linux server. I need this page to just be a log in page with one image on it's background and my company logo. I need a script of some kind written (possibly PHP?)so that I can assign user names and passwords to people to view certain directories on this site. For example, if there are five sub directories under webworkslabs.com, for each one, I would like to assign a separate user name and password that when entered takes them to only that directory.

The theme of this page is like a laboratory and the background image in an .eps image that looks like a laboratory so I would also like a sound bite played on the login page that sounds like bubbling water in a laboratory.
